This series blends the real and the unreal into a surreal expression, layered with a temporal narrative.

By combining tangible objects and spaces with intangible shadow imagery, the work creates subtly surreal scenes using a complex façade technique.
Drawing from the everyday interplay between light and shadow through a window, it quietly reflects on the parallel between a single day and the entirety of a human life.

-
Light, the energy source of all things
Light is perceived as an entity that reveals and illuminates.
Coexistence, like two sides of a coin, is only acknowledged when both light and darkness exist. The shadow is the decisive evidence of this coexistence.
This series explores the creation of a new “nuance” by incorporating digital elements into poetic and synesthetic expressions—born from the harmony of contrasting media images and analog objects over time.

Paul C. weaves a metaphorical and poetic narrative around the parallel between “the passage of time from sunrise to sunset” and “a short but long life.”
By blending physical objects, space, and complex multi-layered media imagery, he constructs a ‘virtually existing space’—a hybrid between the real-real and the unreal-virtual.

His works consistently embrace theatrical themes and narratives that evoke the “flow of time.” The genre he defines through this approach is called Multisensory Motion Sculpture.
